VOLLMER will be meeting customers, partners and industry experts at EMO 2025 in Hanover from 22nd to 26th September, and the full-line supplier will have a wide range of products for state-of-the-art metalworking at its fingertips. For the first time, VOLLMER will be presenting its new ‘VGrind infinity linear’ tool grinding machine and giving insights into the digital world of the VOLLMER Smart Hub platform, which can be used to centrally record, process and manage machine data. The VLaser 370 laser machine and the VHybrid 260 combined grinding and erosion machine will also be at Stand F26 in Hall 11. VOLLMER’s appearance at EMO will be rounded off with machines from two of its subsidiaries, Loroch and ultraTEC innovation. The focus here is on the innovative automation of the new ultraTEC A20C.

The Swedish company Kvarnstrands uses more than 50 machines from sharpening specialist VOLLMER for its maintenance and repair services for circular saws and band saws. These include several machines from the CHX series for sharpening carbide-tipped circular saws, as well as erosion machines for machining tools with PCD (polycrystalline diamond). Kvarnstrands also trades in circular saw blades from Kanefusa and manufactures high-performance tools that ensure precise wood cutting in planing machines worldwide.

Swabian sharpening specialist VOLLMER has developed the VOLLMER Smart Hub to centrally record, process and manage data from VOLLMER machines. The platform offers a comprehensive production overview and brings a new level of transparency and efficiency to modern manufacturing. Combined with an AI-based chatbot, the VOLLMER Smart Hub can be used to query information on machine utilisation, the number of tools produced or even missing parts, among other things.

One for all – this is the motto according to which sharpening specialist VOLLMER has developed and launched its new VGrind infinity linear tool grinding machine. The machine is the all-rounder for the flexible production of rotary tools: It can precisely, quickly and energy efficiently machine precision tools with diameters from 0.2 mm to 200 mm made of different cutting materials such as carbide, high-speed steel, PcBN or ceramic. Automation and digital solutions from the VGrind infinity linear enable unmanned operation around the clock – from small batch sizes and special solutions to series production.

When it comes to cutting tools, the Guhring brand is synonymous with innovation and pushing the boundaries of convention. Driving this culture is a management structure that provides its 48 worldwide subsidiaries with complete autonomy. Guhring UK has led the charge on several fronts, from powering its Birmingham facility with solar PV to investing in a VOLLMER VHybrid 260 grinding and erosion machine.

WIGO-Werkzeugdienst Wetter GmbH is based in Löhne, a town in western Germany, and develops machining tools for the metalworking and plastics processing industry. In 2024, the company commissioned the VGrind 360S grinding machine with an HC4 chain magazine from sharpening specialist VOLLMER primarily in order to manufacture special tools according to customer requirements. Ever since it was founded, its sister company MAWE-Wetter GmbH has been using machine manufacturer VOLLMER’s innovative products. MAWE specialises in machining tools for machining wood, plastic and non-ferrous metals. These are applications where PCD tools are primarily used. The close cooperation with VOLLMER, which has grown over the years, has established a trusting relationship that has proven to be extremely advantageous to both companies in decision-making.
